PEOPLE MAKE PLACES

For this project we had to choose a community of practice that we wanted to explore and produce a body of work that will explore that area. I choosed photography as it was always a media that inspired me and portrait photography in particular. I decided to start with taking candid photographs of people across London and contrast them with photographs of those places without the person. My message was inspired from the Pink Floyd song, Wish You Were Here, which is a tribute to Sydney Barret and how his menatall illness made him fall appart with the group and become more and more absent from the reality sourrnding him. I wanted to show through photography that we associate certain places with a specific person and they often feel empty when the person is missing.
